The request must point to the exact Instagram content that should receive views. A profile homepage, username, Story link or screenshot does not identify a specific video target.

Open the copied URL before submitting it and confirm that it leads directly to the intended Reel, video or post. A link copied from the Instagram application should also work in a normal browser.
Reels and Standard Posts Can Behave Differently
A Reel normally uses a /reel/ URL and is designed around video playback. A standard publication commonly uses a /p/ URL and may contain an image, carousel or video.
When the goal is video views, use the most direct video or Reel address available. A profile page may display the correct content, but it does not tell the system which individual publication should receive the request.
The Publishing Account Must Remain Public
Private profiles, archived publications, removed Reels and restricted content may not pass the target check. The content should remain accessible from the same URL while the request is waiting and processing.
Changing the account to private or deleting the publication after submission can interrupt the request. Confirm visibility before submitting and avoid changing the target while it remains active.

After the request, review whether the video is prepared to hold attention. The opening seconds, cover image, audio, caption, pacing and subject all influence whether viewers continue watching.
Views Do Not Explain the Full Content Result
A visible view count can support the activity shown on a Reel or video, but it does not indicate whether people watched for long, visited the profile or interacted with the content.
