How to Copy an Instagram Post or Reel Link

An Instagram post or Reel link identifies one specific piece of content. It is required when a service targets a photo, carousel, video or Reel rather than the entire Instagram profile.

Using the direct content URL prevents the order from being assigned to the wrong post. Before submitting a link, open it once in a browser and confirm that it displays the exact content you selected.

Instagram Post and Reel Link Formats

Instagram uses different URL paths for standard posts and Reels. A typical post address follows this structure:

https://www.instagram.com/p/contentcode/

A Reel address usually follows this structure:

https://www.instagram.com/reel/contentcode/

The content code is unique to that post or Reel. Two visually similar uploads still have different links, even when they were published by the same profile.

Copying a Post Link from the Instagram App

Open Instagram and navigate to the photo, carousel or video post you want to use. Tap the share icon or the menu shown on the post, then choose the option that copies the link.

Instagram may display the command as Copy link or include it inside the sharing menu, depending on the app version and device. After copying, paste the URL into a browser, note app or the relevant Quantaps target field.

The address should open the selected post directly. If it opens the profile page instead, return to the individual post and copy its link again.

Copying an Instagram Reel Link

Open the Reel you want to use and select the share option. Choose Copy link, then paste the copied address somewhere you can check it.

A correct Reel URL normally contains /reel/. The link must open the individual Reel rather than the profile Reels tab or the account homepage.

When ordering views, likes, comments, saves or reposts for a Reel, use this direct Reel address. A profile URL does not identify which video should receive the selected service.

Carousel Posts Use One Shared Link

A carousel may contain several photos or videos, but Instagram treats the carousel as one post. The entire carousel therefore uses one shared post URL.

You do not need a separate link for each slide. Copy the direct URL of the carousel post and submit that single address.

A service ordered for the carousel targets the post-level metric. It is not divided separately between the first image, second image or other slides.

Copying a Content Link in a Web Browser

Open Instagram in a desktop or mobile browser and navigate to the required post or Reel. Once the individual content page is open, copy the complete address from the browser address bar.

Make sure the URL contains a content path such as /p/ or /reel/. An address ending only with the username is a profile link and does not identify an individual post.

The copied URL may include extra tracking parameters. These are not usually needed to locate the content. A clean link ending after the content code is easier to review and submit.

Profile, Post, Reel and Story Links Are Different

Each Instagram target type uses a different address. Selecting the correct one depends on the service you are ordering.

  • Profile: https://www.instagram.com/username/
  • Post or carousel: https://www.instagram.com/p/contentcode/
  • Reel: https://www.instagram.com/reel/contentcode/
  • Story: A current story target that remains available while the story is live

Use the profile address for follower-based services. Use a direct post or Reel link for content-level services such as likes, views, comments, saves or reposts. Story services require an active story target instead.

One Content Link Identifies One Target

A single post or Reel URL can be used for only that content. It does not cover the latest posts on the profile, an entire Reel series or multiple campaign uploads.

If you need a service for two different posts, each post must be submitted with its own direct link. Adding multiple URLs into one target field does not automatically split the selected quantity between them.

Likewise, a link entered for the wrong post should not be expected to move to another upload after the order has been submitted.

Public Access Is Required for Content Verification

The post or Reel should be publicly accessible when the selected service requires an open target. Private account content cannot normally be viewed from outside the approved follower list.

Content may also become unavailable when it is deleted, archived, restricted, removed by Instagram or limited by account settings. If the URL no longer opens the selected content, the target may not be reachable.

Open the link in a private browser window or while logged out when possible. This helps confirm whether the content can be accessed without relying on your own account session.

Archived and Reuploaded Content Uses a Different Target

Archiving a post removes it from public access. Restoring it may make the original link available again, but the target should remain accessible while an order is being processed.

Deleting and reuploading the same photo or video creates a new Instagram post with a different content code. The old link does not automatically update to the newly published version.

When content has been uploaded again, copy the new post or Reel link before creating another order.

Shared Links May Contain Extra Parameters

Instagram sometimes adds referral or tracking text to copied links. The main content address appears before these additional parameters.

For example, a shared URL may include characters after a question mark. The content can often be identified with the cleaner form:

https://www.instagram.com/reel/contentcode/

Do not edit the content code itself. Removing or changing part of that code can break the link or direct it to an unavailable page.

No Instagram Login Information Is Needed

Copying and submitting a public content URL does not require your Instagram password, email password, two-factor authentication code, backup code or active login session.

Do not place login details in a target field. A content-based order should use the public post or Reel address and only the customer information requested by the order form.

Check the Content Before Submitting the Link

  • The URL opens the exact post, carousel, video or Reel you selected.
  • The address contains /p/ or /reel/, not only the profile username.
  • The content is public and accessible outside your own account session.
  • The post has not been deleted, archived or restricted.
  • Only one content URL has been entered into the target field.
  • No password or verification code has been included.

After confirming the target, paste the direct content link into the relevant Quantaps form and select the package and quantity intended for that single post or Reel.
